The stamped concrete patio at 3901 Baxter Avenue in East Nashville, TN was a unique project due to the lack of accessibility to the backyard but with the help our mini skidsteer and pump contractor (Streamline Concrete Pumping), we were able to complete the project on time and on budget. Below is a day by day walk through of the stamped concrete patio project in East Nashville.
Day #1:
TriStar Concrete began the project by laying out stakes with the owner for layout of the slab. This took some time due to the curved radius of the concrete patio. Next, dirt work was performed and the grade was cut down about 8 inches. The grade was taken down so that when gravel and concrete are prepped, the final elevation of the concrete is not 8 inches above the grass. We ended the day by completing formwork and compacting 4 inches of gravel for concrete to be poured on the final day.
Day #2:
After walking the project with the owner and reviewing the prepour checklist, concrete was ready the poured. Concrete was pumped by Streamline Concrete Pumping and concrete was provided by Nashville Ready Mix. After concrete finishing was complete, the ashler slate concrete stamp design was applied to the concrete. Shortly after we were able to take forms off the concrete and clean up the project. Below are some pictures and a video of the concrete stamped patio provided by TriStar Concrete Construction.
“Blake was 100% professional and handled our job perfectly! The end result was a beautiful patio and walkway through our backyard. Blake did everything he said he was going to do and went beyond our expectations to make sure we were happy with the work. I wish we had more concrete work to do so I could hire Blake again. 100% satisfaction.” -J. Perrenot
