Concrete Walkway in Nashville

The Glenridge Court project was an exterior front entry remodel. The homeowner was unhappy with the current brick walkway entry to the home and wanted it to be ripped out and have a concrete walkway installed. The concrete walkway design had the same dimensions as the existing brick walkway, except the edges were perpendicular (not rounded like the brick). On Day #1 of the project, TriStar Concrete used a breaker hammer to remove the bricks one by one and break out the four inches of concrete beneath the brick as well. After loading all the access material into the dump trailer, TriStar Concrete compacted the subgrade and laid a four-inch crusher run base for the concrete to lay.

On Day #2 of the project, TriStar Concrete completed forming the walkway and ensured the forms were compliant with the customer’s requests. Next, the concrete was tailgated and wheel barrowed from the concrete truck to the point of placement. After a few hours of finishing the concrete the walkway was complete as shown in the photo below. It is worth noting that the homeowner had a landscaper hired to install sod and fertilizer around the concrete edges after the completed our part of the project.

Client Review

“I had a brick walkway replaced with concrete by TriStar and I am extremely happy! Blake Cobb was very nice to work with and kept me informed. The crew who came were so respectful and knowledgeable also and Blake was hands-on throughout project. I really can’t say enough about the professionalism of Blake and his company. I can’t wait to have TriStar pour a new driveway for me!!” – Susan H.
