How Much Should My Concrete Patio Slope?

When starting any concrete project, planning is everything. That’s why TriStar Concrete Construction applies a pre-pour checklist prior to ever pouring any concrete. The slope of a concrete slab is extremely important. Wrong elevations on one end can divert all water back towards the house. Nobody wants puddling water up against their house and this can also cause foundation issues.

The short answer here is that it should slope enough to drain water in the right direction but not so much that you can visibly see or feel the slope. Usually, this comes out to a quarter inch drop for every one foot or 2%.
