How Long to Wait Before You Can Walk on Concrete?

There is no specific amount of time one must wait before walking on concrete. This is due to the fact that concrete sets at different rates depending on the weather and additives that are applied to the concrete. On a hot summer day, concrete can be hard enough to walk on in less than an hour or two. In the dead of winter, concrete can take hours to cure enough to walk on. We recommend asking your concrete contractor or slightly touching the surface with your fingertips before taking the risk of ruining quality concrete work.
